Visitors will be able to get hands-on demos of Xfinity’s TV, Internet, Phone and Home Security and Automation Services..
The City of Crystal Lake announced today that Comcast plans to open an Xfinity Store in 2016.
The new store will be located at 6000 Northwest Highway in the Crystal Point Shopping Center. The 5,000-square-foot store will be designed to give visitors real-life, hands-on demonstrations of Xfinity’s range of products and services, from cable TV, high-speed Internet and home phone services, to the company’s home security and home automation platform, Xfinity Home. The store also will feature iPads and other mobile devices visitors can use to explore Xfinity’s Android and iOS apps. Apps range from Xfinity TV Go, which allows customers to watch live TV, stream On Demand content and download movies and TV shows, to Xfinity Home, which allows customers to manage and monitor their homes while on the go.
“We thank Mayor Shepley and his administration and staff for helping to make the store possible,” said John Crowley, Comcast’s Greater Chicago Region senior vice president. “We selected Crystal Lake as the location of the new store, because of its large concentration of retail, proximity to so many Comcast customers and welcoming spirit.”
Along with product and service demos, customers can pay bills, pick up and return equipment and get assistance from trained, knowledgeable sales consultants.
