Comcast expands its Network in Monmouth to reach even more Local Businesses

This follows last November’s launch of all Comcast business and residential services in town

August 6, 2018 – Comcast is extending its network in Monmouth, IL, to reach businesses in two industrial areas in town: The first around West Harlem Avenue, Main Street and Route 34, and the second around Main Street and West 11th Avenue. This follows last year’s announcement from the company that it began offering Comcast Business services and its full suite of Xfinity residential services in town. Comcast Business’ comprehensive suite of products and services includes Internet, phone and TV, along with:

  • SmartOffice, video monitoring that allows businesses to monitor their worksites 24/7;
  • WiFi Pro, a public and private WiFi solution for businesses; and
  • Access to cloud solutions and software, including:
    • Office 365;
    • Web Conferencing;
    • Electronic Signature;
    • File Sharing;
    • Online Backup; and
    • Security.

Comcast Business and Xfinity offer Internet speeds of up to 1 Gigabit per second in Monmouth over Comcast’s existing network.

The company’s residential services, including Xfinity Internet, Xfinity TV, Xfinity Home (home security and automation) Xfinity Voice (residential phone service) and Xfinity Mobile (mobile phone service), also are available in town.
