Comcast Business to bring its advanced network and full suite of services to several Sugar Grove commercial areas
March 22, 2023 – The Village of Sugar Grove announced today that the Village Board approved a franchise agreement with Comcast last night at last night’s Board meeting. The agreement allows Comcast Business to bring its advanced, fiber-dense network and full suite of services to several business and industrial corridors in the village.
“Not only will the availability of Comcast Business’ services help attract new businesses to Sugar Grove, it will help existing businesses grow and compete,” said Sugar Grove Village President Jennifer Konen. “This is more than an investment in infrastructure, it’s an investment in Sugar Grove’s economic growth and overall quality of life.”

When the project is complete in early 2024, businesses along the network route will have access to Internet speeds up to 100 Gigabits per second (Gbps). They’ll also have access to all of Comcast Business’ services, which provide levels of connectivity, capacity and technology capable of supporting more and more employees working at home and in the field; reaching and serving more and more customers online; exchanging large amounts of data; and accessing sophisticated cloud-based applications. In addition, with the network in place, Comcast Business will be able to connect new customers quickly.
Along with high-speed Internet, Comcast Business will offer Ethernet, Advanced Voice, Comcast Business Mobile and a variety of cloud services in Sugar Grove, as well as:
- Secure Network Solutions, which provides integrated enterprise-grade network security solutions within a single platform;
- Connection Pro, an automatic 4G LTE backup connection to keep businesses running; and
- WiFi Pro, a mobile-friendly tool that allows businesses to manage customer- and internal-facing networks.
