Celebrating National Intern Day 2025

Celebrating Comcast’s 2025 Summer Interns
National Intern Day 2025 falls on July 31 this year, and Comcast Central Division happily recognizes the vital contributions from the 48 interns who spent their summer learning and working at Comcast. Interns from around the country spent time either at the Central Division’s Atlanta office at the Battery, or one of any of our four regional offices across 12 states. The Cental Division University Relations team runs an award-winning, competitive internship program that seeks to build upon classroom knowledge and help university students make decisions about their future careers.
“The impact our interns make extends far beyond their time at Comcast.”
Ernesto Sosa, Comcast Director of Employee Programs.
“The impact our interns make extends far beyond their time at Comcast. They bring fresh ideas, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn that energizes our teams. In return, they gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and a deeper understanding of their future careers. Watching their growth over just a few months is truly inspiring,” says Ernesto Sosa, Comcast Director of Employee Programs.
Comcast’s Central Division interns come from different schools, states, and backgrounds, all with one goal in mind: to gain real-world experience alongside their university education to prepare for their careers post-graduation.
A Glimpse Into the Life
With a full schedule of projects, panels, and the many, many networking opportunities built into the internship, there’s never a dull moment. Interns get the opportunity to tackle real-world challenges and work on projects alongside full-time employees. By participating as a full-time employee interns get an understanding of the corporate world and full-time experience.
“One of my favorite moments as an intern this summer was a road trip to Peoria, Illinois, with my manager and other leaders to “surprise and delight” one of our loyal customers.”
Caitlyn Hawley, Comcast marketing intern
“One of my favorite moments as an intern this summer was a road trip to Peoria, Illinois, with my manager and other leaders to “surprise and delight” one of our loyal customers. We carpooled across the state and surprised the customer with iPads and balloons. We then visited two nearby Xfinity stores, where I had the chance to see how the retail stores operate from a whole new perspective.” says Caitlyn Hawley, a University of Michigan student and Comcast marketing intern.
A Second Summer of Learning
While some students like Caitlyn are finishing up their first summer as an intern at Comcast, others have returned for a second or third summer, and some are even preparing to continue their careers at Comcast as full-time employees. Each summer, as a returning intern, the program brings new changes, challenges, and experiences. Returning interns are able to enhance their internship by building on what they learned the previous year while still experiencing new projects and meeting new people.
“This summer, I came in with many friends in my intern cohort and a much better understanding of the company.”
Blake Gee, Comcast Analytics & Business Intelligence intern
“At the outset of my first summer last year, I came in knowing very little about the business or the internship program,” said Blake Gee, a University of Georgia student and Central Division Analytics & Business Intelligence intern. “This summer, I came in with many friends in my intern cohort and a much better understanding of the company. I also expected more from myself in my projects.”
Supporting Nontraditional Students
While many of Comcast’s interns are university students who continued their education immediately after high school, Comcast’s internship program has also attracted those who decided to pursue a degree later in life. Tiffany Ramirez is one such student, pursuing an engineering degree from Kennesaw State University after starting her career in the project management industry. She spent her summers in 2023 and 2024 as a Comcast engineering intern in the Central Division and is spending this summer as a project management intern for Comcast’s Florida region.
“Comcast has never made me feel as if I was out of place because I am a nontraditional student. This internship program has helped me evolve in ways I didn’t know I needed to.”
Tiffany Ramirez, Comcast Project Management intern
“Comcast has never made me feel as if I was out of place because I am a nontraditional student,” Tiffany said. “This internship program has helped me evolve in ways I didn’t know I needed to. I have a lot of favorite moments, but one that really sticks out to me the most is when I had the opportunity to host a Women’s Panel last year! It was truly inspiring to connect with women in different spaces and hear about their experiences especially in male-dominated industries.”

From College to Career
“My journey from intern to full-time employee at Comcast was shaped by consistent support, mentorship, and growth opportunities.”
Tamia Clarke, Comcast intern alumnus
After spending one, two, or even three summers at Comcast, it is not surprising that some full-time employees got their start at Comcast through the internship program. “My journey from intern to full-time employee at Comcast was shaped by consistent support, mentorship, and growth opportunities,” says Tamia Clarke, a 2023 and 2024 Comcast Business finance intern who now works full-time in Comcast’s finance department. “My internship experiences at Comcast bridged the gap between classroom concepts and real-world application. This exposure sharpened my analytical thinking and helped me approach my education more strategically to make informed decisions about my future post-graduation.”
As the summer internship program comes to a close, Comcast celebrates the diverse journeys of its interns—whether they are first-timers bringing fresh energy, returning interns creating new experiences, or those who have successfully transitioned into full-time roles. Each intern has contributed meaningfully to Comcast’s culture and success. Their stories reflect Comcast’s ongoing commitment to nurturing talent and creating pathways for young professionals’ growth.
