Chicago is the first Comcast market in the Midwest to launch Xfinity’s X1 DVR with Cloud Technology. The new service lets customers watch live TV anywhere in their homes on their Android and iOS devices using the Xfinity TV app. It also lets them download shows they’ve recorded on their X1 DVRs and take them to go. A Comcast technician works on cloud servers in Chicago’s northwest suburbs, which store Xfinity customers’ recorded programs.
